A Brand Story Teller | Corporate Coach - Monica Gupta
Monica Gupta, A brand story teller, a digital strategist, has served the industry for over two decades.
With a firm belief that each one of us has the power to create our own destiny, she always wanted to do something meaningful in her life. Beyond her struggle with dyslexia, she battled various societal constrains and personal limitations to carve out a space for herself in the entrepreneurial world. Meet Monica Gupta, a leading Indian entrepreneur who has gained recognition in the Indian marketing scene through her rock solid will and relentless hard work. As the Director of a distinguished marketing firm, Monica believes that everyone needs the right nurturing and investment of time and energy into knowing ourselves; only then can we deal with all kinds of challenges.
Initial Years
Having been born in a family of professionals, Monica had a tough time meeting expectations as a dyslexic child. However, her life started to turn around when she started to learn meditation, the art of empowering the self. Soon, her hard work transformed into smart work, which led to the progression of her career. For the next decade, she worked in the marketing landscape at various positions, delivering solutions and services while outperforming her own set standards. “Clients had developed a liking and appreciation for my work and they started moving with me wherever I moved in the industry,” she recalls.
The Inception
While Monica was enjoying her ever-growing marketing career as an employee, her eyes were set on something bigger and yet, more meaningful. The time had come to take a call on whether to keep working for someone else’s dream or to build her own. Thus, on 17th December, 2008, Interactive Bees was born! Founded with a vision to make a difference in the marketing landscape, it offered a complete range of brand communication solutions while giving a platform to passionate individuals to showcase and hone their creative talent.
Earning recognition on the way
In a time span of over a decade, Interactive Bees has won the title of ‘India 5000 Best MSME Awards 2017’ for its quality excellence and the ‘Red Herring Top 100 Award for Asia’s most exciting companies’ for providing disrupting solutions in the industry and gaining substantive traction in 2016. Interactive Bees has also been listed in the ‘Top 10 Best Startups in Website Development Companies in India’ by Silicon India Magazine and ‘Consultants of the Year 2016: Digital Marketing’ by Industry decision makers at CIO Review Magazine. Most recently, two of its digital campaigns got recognized by the industry and the company won ‘Drivers of Digital Awards 2018’ for a Special Mention for Content in a Video Marketing Campaign and ‘Outstanding Campaign of the Month’ by 91 Mobiles.
Taking stock of her contribution to the sector, Insights Success, a popular IT magazine has chosen her among “50 Most Empowering Women In Business”. She has also been honored with Eminent Achiever Award in Integrated Marketing Communication by Indian Conventions, a media consortium. Recently, in 2019, she received an Appreciation by CIOs of India for imparting knowledge on Digital Detoxification. She has also been awarded ‘India’s Most Prominent Women Empowerment Award’ by Merit Awards and Market Research.
However, what truly makes Monica happy is when she, along with her company, can yield a positive impact on the people and the organizations associated with her through her work. “When I see that our customers become a spokesperson for us, our whole effort gets repaid.”

When nothing is sure, everything is possible. Monica believes that COVID brought along an opportunity for everyone to pause and reflect within our own selves. She utilized her time during COVID to take sessions on Digital Detoxification, Keeping Calm No Matter What, Increasing Concentration, Time Management, Work-life Integration, Stress Management, Being the Best You- Self-Improvement Modelling and more for various corporates and universities, namely Wipro , NIIT Technologies, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Manav Rachna University, JSS Academy of Technical Education, Amity University, School of Aeronautics, LG Electronics, DXC Technology, Infogain India, Orange Business Services, Bharti AirTel, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals , Birlasoft, Sify Technologies, Minda Corporation Ltd., Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies, Accenture, Manav Rachna University-Faridabad, PNB MetLife, Wipro PAN India, School of Aeronautics, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), ATC Telecom Infrastructure, Altran, NextGen Technologies, Computer Society of India Ghaziabad Chapter, Yash Technologies, L&T Infotech , 3Pillar Global, Xceedance Consulting, Fractal Analytics, Mirum Digital, Novotech Australia, Delhi Public School-Sirsa, LexisNexis, Cardiological Society of India-Delhi Branch, Novotech Clinical Research, Qualys Security TechServices
‘Bee’lieving in self
For Monica, her biggest strength lies in her approach of taking every problem as a stepping stone. She transformed her inability to communicate into creative expressions, which she then applied professionally in marketing communication. Monica exclaims, “So the lesson that I truly learnt growing up is that there really isn’t any mountain that’s too high to scale; all you need to have is the will to win it.” –a sound advice indeed.
